Illness

We can't seem to get away from sickness. Sam had what seemed like the flu, then I got swine flu, then I had a cold, now Sam has food poisoning.

Not a great winter in the Stewart household.

So Tired

We got home from our wonderful Thanksgiving vacation last Sunday evening. Monday went by without flaw, then I woke up Tuesday morning with a really sore throat and a stuffy nose. Despite having been gone from work the full previous week because of Thanksgiving, I decided it was probably best not to go in to work, in case I was coming down with something. During the day it seemed to go away, then the evening came and I spent all night tossing and turning, blowing my nose, sucking on cough drops, trying to breathe in as much of the steam from our humidifier as possible.

Wednesday morning I felt better, so I went to work. Wednesday night it hit again. That's been the story throughout the entire week. During the day I am mostly fine, except for a slight stuffy nose which really doesn't cause a problem. The evening is the complete opposite. I cough, I can't breathe, my throat is raw, and thus I cannot sleep. I swear I've gotten NO sleep this past week. Last night was the worst, and unfortunately now it is lasting into the day (it's just after noon, and I still can't breathe through my nose).

After another sleepless night, I got out of bed this morning to start getting ready for church. Sam asked me what I was doing. Clearly with my constant sniffling and almost non-existent voice I was not well enough to go to church. Then I basically started coughing up a lung while trying to explain to him that I wanted to go.

He didn't let me go. Probably a good thing. I'm going to blame the pregnancy for my immune system being so bad right now. I'm so sick of being sick!

There is a first time for everything

Today, for the first time ever, i went out in public with my hair down after air drying! This is i big step for me. I think i figured out the secret: major thinning mixed with brushing before washing out the conditioner and then not touching my hair after that. Oh beautiful day.

Sleep-Learning

If I could learn stuff in my dreams, I'd be a pro at driving stick shift by now.

The Smiling Tree

I walk past this tree almost every day, and i always hear tons of birds chirping away as i get closer. They stop making all noise as i walk by, but i can still see the small chubby birds sitting on all the branches. They start singing again as soon is i pass. For some reason it makes me smile.
