Baby 2 is a...

Baby girl!! I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that we are going to have a daughter. We are SO excited. We would have been thrilled with a boy, too, because Jay would have such a blast with a little brother, but we are very happy with a little girl!

I did the same thing with this baby that I did with Jay. Starting at around 11 weeks I was convinced of one gender (the correct gender) and then a day or 2 before the ultrasound I decided I wasn't sure. And the day of, I switched my mind to the other gender. Both times I should have stuck with my original instincts!

We got 4 printed pictures from the ultrasound. She was wiggly, just as I expected, so we didn't get a great profile shot, but it was better than nothing. When we saw between the legs, I immediately thought, "if that is the legs we are looking at, and I'm pretty sure it is, that is definitely a girl!" Then my doctor said, "well, looks like a girl!" He pointed out the 3 "lines" that mean girl instead of boy, then went on to look at the rest of the important things - bladder, heart, kidneys, etc. etc. Everything looks perfect. She is measuring 2 days ahead.

We got to record the ultrasound on DVD, so I have that uploading to youtube right now, but it's taking forever. Hopefully it works. If it does, I will post it in another post.
